Information Sent Directly
Search terms
A name, location, or other text entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Stewart County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a log of those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy notice controls its handling after submission.
Messages and contact details
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the message and the supplied contact details may be retained so a reply can be made. They are not shared outside the organization except when disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the service.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine server and analytics systems may receive technical details when a page loads. These details help operate the pages and understand broad use patterns.
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Referring page, when one is supplied
- Visit and request timestamps
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the pages or to support a feature. Browser settings can block or remove cookies. Some functions may behave differently after they are blocked.
Why Information Is Used
Collected information is used for ordinary operation and service improvement:
- Keep the pages available, responsive, and functional.
- Send a search request to the partner service intended to handle it.
- See which public-record topics are useful to visitors.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical problems.
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Links to Other Services
The pages link to the Stewart County Sheriff, its current contacts, the county phone directory, the Stewart County Jail, Sheriff Larry Jones’s office, city offices, Georgia courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, ICE, BOP, news outlets, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves for one of those services, that provider’s privacy policy, security practices, and terms apply. Stewart County Busted Mugshots does not control another organization’s uptime, data handling, or retention.
Some advertising or search partners may observe activity across multiple sites for their own ad or measurement purposes. That tracking occurs on their systems and is governed by their notices, not by this reference page.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by Stewart County Busted Mugshots. It may be available to the limited groups below when their service requires it or when a valid legal demand applies.
- Search partners that process text submitted to their tools.
- Analytics providers that measure page use.
- Advertising networks that serve or measure ads.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Efforts and Limits
Reasonable, ordinary security practices are used to protect the service and information held by it. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however. Stewart County Busted Mugshots cannot promise that data will never be exposed through a breach, attack, provider failure, or other event beyond its control.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us route to ask that it be removed.
Choices and Data Rights
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, a person may ask about information held in connection with a message or account interaction.
- Request a copy of personal information held about the requester.
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected.
- Request deletion where retention is not legally or operationally required.
- Opt out of certain forms of processing when an available control applies.
Search terms sent to a third-party provider must be addressed with that provider. Government records linked from the pages are controlled by the originating agency.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised as the service, technology, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here, with a new effective date where appropriate. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised practices.
